Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave

Nintendo showed a preview of what to expect in the upcoming Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave on Tuesday. Apparently this includes a gun.

Fortune’s Weave looks fucking fantastic. While there’s another Fire Emblem game between this one and the wonderful Three Houses, this game feels so far like a real successor to the fan favorite boarding school tactics sim. It’s got all the things I was hoping for: multiple main characters with different stories to play through, a new world full of political intrigue, and a hot evil guy with long hair. It’s also got something I wasn’t expecting at all: a gun.

In a description of the combat mechanics of the game, Nintendo’s video calls out mystical weapons like “swords that can call down lightning” and “gauntlets that look like firearms.” I’m not sure these gauntlets (the terminology that Fire Emblem games use to refer to fist weapons) just look like firearms, though. As far as I can tell, this woman who is dressed like a nun has lept into the air and shot a mook in the fucking face.

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave

I was already really excited for Fortune’s Weave, being a Fire Emblem sicko. Now I cannot wait for this goddamn game to come out. As I am surrounded by knights and sorcerers and women armed with spears riding flying horses, I would like to have the ability to use a gun on them. Thank you.
